TheKnot.com has a cute little paper doll bride toy called My Inner Bride which I like more than I expected because the have a hair option with bangs. I had to shorten the skirt in Photoshop but the above is fairly close to what I hope to look like.
While it’s restrained to fairly traditional bridal looks it is an easy way to play around which how hair/veil/neckline/skirt options would work together. It’s a fun little distraction that is well done with lots of options for face shapes and skin and hair colors.

congratulations!
i have been reading notmartha for eons and am thrilled to see you blogging on the wide world of marriage and eloping.
i already added the new blog to my google reader!
congratulations! looking forward to reading all about our plans here, i am a long time reader at notmartha.
your plans — skipped a letter
dude, that cartoon is so you. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
I love the one with the fluffy dogs. You and Scott must have fluffy dogs as accessories.
My cousin used her miniature dachshunds as ring bearers. They had little harnesses with the rings tied to them using ribbons. I kid you not.
WOOOOHOOO! Congratulations Megan. And good on you for choosing to go the elopement route.
If you’d like any tiny baby lambs for ring bearers, just say the word and we’ll all fly out.
Susan, thanks!
Fert - I can only wish I was this cute. I want to see more of your dress shopping on your site!
Congratulations to you both! I am so happy for you and glad you are taking time to have fun thinking about dresses and other details! I loved all our wedding planning because we made it personal and a little bit crafty too. xo
Thanks everybody!
First, congratulations.
Second, why oh why do you tempt me to visit the knot.com?
Lazybrideny - Yeah, I’m sorry, there isn’t much more there I can recommend! I mean, an overload of gowns and jewelry I cannot afford, sure.
The Knot is seriously stupid (sorry — that was my impression while I was wedding planning) but that looks just like you!!!
PS I recommend indiebride. And Megan and I are friends (I…think?!) so hopefully she’s taking my comments as all in good fun.
Mary - Shame on you. Where in this post did I say I liked the Knot?
Nope, I just like the paper doll thingy. I wish they had one for grooms as well.
That’s so cute! I really like the cartoon images that you’ve created. haha.. Hope that TheKnot can come up with a version for the groom soon!! and Congratulations to you too! ^_^
