This is my engagement ring, I couldn’t love it more. The story involves a late night search, a bubblegum machine and a single quarter.

I love, love, love this. Too many people go all wacky with the crazy giant rings. This is just so sweet and so perfect.
Congratulations! And I also think you two made a great choice with that ring.
Thank you to you both. Sadly, since the ring did come from a bubblegum machine it’s a little scratchy so I don’t wear it. I’m certainly not anti-sparkly ring but I’d rather spend the money on replacing our fence, and building a front porch, you get the idea.
Maybe you can get it remade in a silver or white gold?!
I LOVE the story behind it though, so sweet.
Congrats again!
This would be super-easy to replicate in sterling! (Or you could run an emery board against all the inside edges to make it less scratchy…)
Amy and Michele - I have thought about that! There is a good local jeweler whom I’m sure could do it easily. Maybe for the anniversary?
In the mean time, buy a little pack of fine-grade sandpaper at Target and work on the edges. You NEED to wear that ring if only to show other people that a diamond is NOT de riguer to show your love.
I also thought it was already done in silver and wanted to know who made it for you. It’s gorgeous!
It really does look like it’s made from silver or white gold, it’s lovely! Congratulations!! I’m a long-time reader of your other blog and recently engaged myself!
