poofy tea length dresses: Dolly Couture

Dolly Couture Milan gown

When I first set out to decide on what type of wedding dress I wanted I quickly decided on a tea length gown. It didn’t take me long to discover the poofy tea length dresses thread that has been going since 2006 over at Kvetch. There I was pointed towards a few independent designers who make fantastic tea length gowns and one of my favorites is the “Milan” from Dolly Couture, which I’ve shown above. I find the flowers on the bodice to be dreamy and the floaty skirt makes my eyes go all soft. I also really like the “Edmonton”, which was inspired by Dolly’s mother’s wedding gown. Dolly Couture prices are very good, and she also does custom work.

I took have been looking at tea length dresses lately and keep on coming back to Dolly Couture. I just added her as a friend on facebook and she has several albums of “real people” wearing her dresses which is a great resource. Good Luck with the dress search!

Thanks Jane, I decided on the BCBG dress with flower applique from Nordstrom. But, if we were having a larger wedding I would definitely go poofy.

I’m a longtime NM reader and happened across this blog by accident. Funny coincidences… the first dress I fell in love with was the Milan, but I decided to go with the BCBG dress. I’m the one who posted the “show me photos of you in the dress” over at Weddingbee”!
